2024 CBF Intern: Kyra Kaler

We are thrilled to introduce Kyra Kaler, our newest intern at the Columbia Basin Foundation (CBF). Kyra's journey into community service began with a spark of inspiration to become more involved in her local community. Before joining CBF, she wasn't very active in community activities, but a moment of realization led her to reach out to us, seeking an opportunity to make a difference.

Since joining CBF, Kyra has immersed herself in various community service projects and discovered a genuine passion for helping others. Her experience with CBF has opened her eyes to the joy and fulfillment that comes from giving back.

During her internship, Kyra aims to enhance her communication skills, develop her professional abilities, and gain valuable administrative experience. She is eager to understand the inner workings of non-profit organizations and build strong relationships within the community. This journey will not only benefit her personal growth but also strengthen her ability to contribute effectively to our mission.

Kyra is determined to make a positive impact through acts of service, fundraising efforts, and volunteering with other non-profit organizations such as Imagination Library and His Helping Hands. Her dedication to supporting these initiatives showcases her commitment to creating a better community for everyone.

One project that Kyra is particularly excited about is creating Donor Spotlight features. She will write articles highlighting the stories of our generous donors who have contributed to CBF. Through these articles, Kyra will help shed light on the incredible impact these donors have made, inspiring others to join in our mission.

Kyra was raised in Ephrata. She is a 2023 EHS graduate and is currently attending Big Bend Community College where she is pursuing a nursing degree.

We look forward to working with Kyra and know she will be a fantastic addition to the Foundation.
